10 Essential Items for Your Toddler

Get first what's absolutely needed for your baby

In today’s day and age, the market is flooded with all types of products for toddlers, making it hard for you to decide which ones are really essential and which ones are not. Knowing how dreadful parenting a toddler can be sometimes, it’s is important to arm yourself with a few essentials to make the experience more bearable.

In order to make your toddler experience more bearable, choose first
the essential items for your toddler, which you can easily add-to
later, as you get a better grip on raising a child.

Here is a list of 10 essential items that come in handy when parenting a toddler.

1. A Good Cup

It is essential for your kid to stay hydrated throughout the day. For that reason, you could use a good quality sippy cup. You might consider one with a spout, instead of a straw. Also, it would be best to get a cup with handles, which makes it easier for your toddler to hold it by themselves.

2. A Play Table

A play table is extremely essential for your growing toddler. You can set blocks or puzzles on the table for them to play around with. While buying one, consider your child’s height, as you don’t want something too short or way out of their reach. If you don’t feel as comfortable with your toddler playing around on a table, playmats are an equally good option. Make sure to get non-toxic play mats in order to protect your child from any harmful chemicals.

3. A Stroller

As a toddler’s parent, a stroller is more or less a basic need. If you make your child walk for so long, they might get very exhausted. On the other hand, carrying them yourself can be quite tiresome, considering you have to carry the diaper bag as well. With a baby stroller, you don’t have to worry as you go shopping or any other errands. For an even better experience, get a stroller with swivel wheels, as it is easy to fold and carry around.

4. Baby Bath Toys

You probably know how much of a nightmare bathing your toddler can be. Although some kids enjoy a warm bath, others don’t like taking a bath and can get extremely restless during bath time. To ease the situation, consider getting some bath toys. These could be color-changing tablets of alphabets to keep your baby occupied.

5. A Pair of Crocs

A toddler is constantly playing or moving around the house. Therefore, they will need a pair of comfortable shoes that are also easy to put on. Besides, they need to be easy to clean. In that case, a pair of crocs come in handy. To spice things up, you can pick a pair in your child’s favorite color.

6. A Baby Blanket

After a long day of playing around, your toddler needs to get a peaceful sleep. For that to happen, they need a comfortable blanket too. Don’t pick one that is too light or too heavy. Instead, pick a cozy one that your child will love.

7. Toys

Your baby needs toys that will keep your child occupied so that you get a chance to do other things. Toys are also a good way to spark creativity in your little child. While there are so many toys you can choose from, some must-haves include toy cars and blocks. However, refrain from plastic toys.

8. Tub Seat

A tub seat makes work easier for you, as you don’t have to hover over the tub so much. Your baby will also enjoy splashing around, thus enjoying the shower.

9. Comfortable Clothes

Knowing how playful toddlers can get, comfort should be your greatest priority while buying clothes. Most importantly, get them comfortable pajamas, preferably made of soft cotton. Also, invest in other wardrobe essentials like socks, and jackets.

10. Diaper Bag Essentials

Before you start potty training your child, a diaper bag is an essential item. In it, make sure to carry a changing mat, a change of clothes, and wet wipes. Remember to also carry baby powder, a rash cream, and hand sanitizer.

The list of toddler essentials is quite long. As you get to know your baby well, you will be in a better position to compile a functional list.
