paste on the stubborn stains and leave it for some time. After five minutes scrub the place with a scouring
pad. You may have to repeat the process 2-3 times, but it will definitely help in removing stains. Rust stains

Glazed tiles are usually used in bathrooms or kitchen walls. Kitchen walls
are easy to clean with a wet cloth using some cleaner but in bathrooms you have to take some extra care as soap
leaves its residue on the flooring. In order to retain the shine of glazed tiles, you can consider the following
tips:
- The first thing to keep the glazed tiles clean is to wipe them on a daily
basis. Rinse them with some cleaner with non-metallic pad and wipe them completely dry. For more willful
stains, make a paste of bicarbonate of soda adding some water. Scrub for some time and wipe with a clean cloth.
They can also be cleaned using a mixture of soap and water. After applying soap water, wipe them some dry
cloth: as simple as that.
- To clean the bathroom tiles, a strong solution will be needed. You can use a
paste made with scouring powder or cleaners without oil. Leave the cleaner on the spots for five minutes and
wipe dry.
Unglazed Tiles
Unglazed tiles are usually used in flooring of rooms and kitchen. Unglazed tiles
offer a natural look to your flooring as they come in many colors and designs. Like other ceramic and glazed tiles,
these tiles are also very easy to clean but as they don’t have glazed coating, they are more chances for these
tiles to collect dirt.
Compared to other tiles they are less permeable giving a chance to dirt to go deep
in the surface. In order to keep them sparkling, these tiles require daily cleaning and maintenance. Following are
the tips to make them look new:
- Unglazed tiles need to be swept daily. This will avoid the debris to collect
on it when people walk on them.
- Vacuum clean the tiles once in a week. Make sure that vacuum cleaner has
strong suction capacity so that the dust that has been accumulated in the joints is also cleaned
thoroughly.
- The best thing to clean unglazed tiles is a mixture of vinegar and water
which is easily available in the house or use only non-alkaline or non-acidic cleaners that are not hard on the
skin if you come in contact.
These are the few measures and tips that can keep your tile flooring not only
clean but give it a new shine also.
