creative designs for swimming pools
Swimming pools have changed a lot since we began to build them in our backyards.
Before that, they had simple
designs that focused more on practicality than looks and style. Now swimming pools are some kind of social status
and people go out of their way to build the most luxurious and out of this world pools right in their backyard.

Now, this is nothing bad, pools have become our own patch of paradise, our own
little resort. With so many different styles and designs, it is hard to predict what will be the most
popular one in an upcoming year, but we think we have figured it out. In this article, we will go over
the most artsy and
creative designs for swimming pools that will certainly be trending in 2017.

Edge
pools
It is not shocking seeing edge pools first on our list. These types of pools have been popular in the last couple of years and it looks like they will
also be in 2017. Their characteristic infinite edge gives them a modern and luxurious look. This is created by
shortening one side of the pool and letting the water drip over it into the basin below. There is no particular
use for this feature, but it makes for a great sight to behold, especially if you have a beautiful backyard
view.

If done correctly, these pools can become a true masterpiece. If you love luxury
and want to bring that resort feel to your backyard, then the infinity or edge pool is the way to go. Decide on the
dimensions and don’t forget to add some decorations around the pool and you will be having a vacation atmosphere
all year long.

Plunge
pools
The next design is a plunge pool.
These pools are a bit smaller than the edge pools, but they offer the same level of comfort and relaxation. The
majority of people use this design because of its practicality and easy maintenance. Plunge pools are not meant
for swimming, but they are ideal if you want to escape the warm weather and dip yourself in cold refreshing
water.

As we said, they are really easy to maintain and can fit in almost any backyard.
Because of their smaller surface, these pools don’t have problems with water evaporation - just put on the cover and that
will be enough. Also, if you are concerned about water outage and want to be more energy-efficient, a plunge pool
is the way to go. The smaller body of water and almost no water evaporation means that you won’t be wasting water not even
close to other pool designs.

Natural
pools
Lastly, there has been a rise in popularity of natural pools. When we talk about natural pools we don’t think about natural-looking pools
with rocks and waterfalls around them, but about 100% naturally formed swimming pool without any chemicals,
pumps, filters, etc.

These pools have their own thriving plant life that keeps the water clean, so
there is no need for chlorine and other chemicals. Natural pools, take all shapes and sizes. You can go
the traditional way and make it
square as if it was an ordinary pool or you can blend it with the environment and make it look like a bond or a lake. On
top of that, this is probably
the cheapest option out of these three. It requires little to no maintenance and because you won’t be needing filter and pumps, building it will
probably cost you
less.

Having a swimming pool in this day and age has become a relatively normal sight.
As you can see from these designs there is something for everyone. No matter if you love luxury or want to go full
natural, we guarantee you that our suggestions will be the top choices for 2017.
